The time isn't comfortable for many people.
And for me, as a freelance photographer, it's worse.
I have so much to learn, and experience, yet I wasn't unsuccessful in finding job or opportunity.
Things changed a bit last few weeks.
Part 1. CSUN Athletes Media Relation
I browse Nikonians.org , an website dedicated to Nikon users all around the world.
About few weeks ago, I posted pictures that I took from one of CSUN women soccer game. Many comments were left and I was learning quite a bit.
One of the reply I got shocked me.
The guy said ...
"Not a bad first attempt. I'm actually the art director for the athletic department here at CSUN and I'm out at some of the games shooting too. Drop me an e-mail and I'd love to check out some of your work.
*other contents deleted*
Like I said, I'd love to see some of your work, and if you want to keep shooting our games, let me know, I can get you on the side away from the stands."
I was like.. woahhhh
I emailed him. Braden Villanueva, Media Relations Art Director
Braden asked me to stop by his office on Friday, I did, and met with other media relations directors and talked about things.
now, it looks like I will be taking pictures for CSUN sports (not all the time)
and today, I will start the journey with CSUN women's volleyball game
I will be setting up my two AB400 (alienbees monolights) near the ceiling of the gym and trigger them wirelessly
Nikon D3 with 70-200 f2.8
i would usually shoot raw (i always do) but since I need quantity and 8GB of CF doesn't hold much of raw files, I will be shooting JPEG this time.
Let's hope that I will learn and bring some lovely shots at the end of today
