Happy Birthday to Me

Feb 27th was my birthday.
I just turned 25 and I don't feel like celebrating it.

25 is a big number. Someone once told me, as I get older, I would realize that 'time' is one of the most valuable things in my life. I agree. When I look back last 25 years of my life, I feel like I have wasted big part of it. I guess I must try harder to make rest of my life more meaningful, so when I die, I wouldn't feel that I wasted mine.

I actually don't have any pictures from MY birthday party or events. As everybody is going through a financial difficulty, I didn't really want to have a "party" or "meet-up" and make them pay for things. But I thank you all for just saying "happy birthday" on facebook or via txt msg.

Special thanks to..

Veronica Han and Sharon Cho for buying me delicious cakes (one from each)
Peter and Minjee for having dinner with on my birthday
Chris Kim and Grace Kim for another delicious cake and champagne
David Kim for arranging a nice In-n-Out get-together
Jason Chao, Andy Yoo, Shirley Kim, and Daniel Kim for hanging out with me
David Kim (chris' brother) for a Target Dog doll

now, let's get to them pictures...

Marvin's BBQ was amazing.
His BBQ skill made many people happy that day.
Thank you Marvin :)

Happy Birthday Esther!!!

(((Edward Kim's headshot for KAC Media article)))
This shot was... kinda rushed. I was pre-occupied with a KACMedia contest winner and Dion called me and asked me to take a headshot of Edward for his testimony.
I had my D90, Sigma 24-60 f/2.8 and SB-800.
I took some regular shots (with flash bounced off the ceiling) because I was rushed, but then I thought, I should put some thought into it.
I asked Dion, who was standing next to me, to hold the SB-800. Set it up for Nikon CLS.
and, had him pointed it right at Edward's face.
I took few shots at different angle and exposure, and got a winner. :)
I like the shots, but I just wish he wasn't smiling.

Edward is going to be all he can be in God's plan :)
